Cape York is internationally important for sea turtles. However, turtles in this region face impacts from feral pig predation, ghost nets, commercial fishing, hunting pressures and climate change. The Cape York Sea Turtle Project is managed by Cape York Sustainable Futures and is working to ensure that sea turtles in the region have a chance for the future.
